To override/change markup using the Layout Update XML method, make a copy of:

/app/code/Blackbird/ContentManager/view/frontend/templates/content/widget/list.phtml

place in

/app/design/frontend/<vendor>/<theme>/Blackbird_ContentManager/templates/content/widget/list.phtml</theme></vendor>
